Each type of computer room will be classified and aligned with specific controls to ensure that proper operation and protection of computing devices is maintained. Below are the definitions of each type of computing facility: Non-Business Critical Computing Facility: Computing facility which contains computers and/or infrastructure necessary to support non-business critical systems at a single location. Examples include: most wiring closets, standalone test server, etc. Business Critical Computing Facility: A small computing facility which contains computers and/or infrastructure necessary to support business critical systems typically at, but not limited to, a single location. Examples include: regional email center, ERP server, financial server, AS400, etc. Regional Processing Center: Mid-sized computing center which supports more than one location. Some examples are: Velizy; Tychy and Kingfield Technical Center and the United Kingdom. Data Center: Large computing facility which supports multiple locations and/or infrastructure. Some examples are: Southfield; Valls; Sao Paulo and Cebu.
