Since there are no reports on the pollen morphology, viability,
and germination of Poˇzegaˇca plum, the present report
gives an account of the palynological characters of this species.
Poˇzegaˇca plum as well as the most of the species in Rosaceae
has trizonocolpateobtus-triangular pollen. The pollen grains of
P. domestica cv. Poˇzegaˇca are trizonocolpateobtus-triangular, as previously examined in species of this genus (P. bokhariensis, P.
armeniaca, P. avium, P. persica, and P. cornuta) (Gilani et al., 2010).
The equatorial axis, and the polar axis and diameter of the pollen
grains of P. domestica are similar with four previously examined
Prunus species (Gilani et al., 2010).
