3.5. C. citratus whole plant treatment exhibits prophylactic activity against P. berghei ANKA infection in CBA/Ca mice
The group treated with the vehicle developed parasitaemia at a higher rate and died by day 9 P.I. Prophylactic treatment with the whole C. citratus plant significantly reduced the rate of parasitaemia compared with that of the group treated with CLQ alone (Fig. 4a).
