Separation of waste pharmaceutical blisters (WPBs) into
aluminum and plastic was investigated for recycling. V. Gente et al.
(Gente et al., 2003, 2004) studied cryo-comminution and electrical
separation of medical packaging blisters, it was demonstrated cryocomminution
process improves the effectiveness of size reduction
and thus promotes liberation of aluminum from plastics. Though
high recovery of plastic and aluminum was obtained, more energy
was adopted apparently by cryo-comminution.
