In recent years there has been a steady annual increase of 4%, from 564.515 million tons in 2005 to
677 million tons in 2011. The origin areas are usually close to the consumer area, which reduces the
cold chain needs, and causes the rot loss rate which is as high as 25% of China's current supply of
vegetables(Wu Yun Liang, 2007, Zhang Jian,2009, Cui Zhongfu, 2012) .
