I have checked advise on arrangements for moving (loan) monies in and out of Thailand and am told that providing that the sender declares the monies as ' a loan' in advance and that is made clear then we can re-patriate money without incurring the 15% withholding tax.
To make this work we should have a very simple 'loan agreement' in place saying the CPM Aus agrees to Loan CPM Thailand XXXX this should be made clear to receieving bank in Thailand they will then confirm with us that this is the case. Repatriation of principle can be done without withholding, shpuld any interest be paid this would be subject to withholding.
Hope that helps, I will see if can get a draft loan agreement to help us
