The regression coefficient plot (Figure 3) of the PLS model
for the FT-NIR data indicates some meaningful bands that are
attributable to the starch. The absorption band around 1420
nm corresponded to a combination of O−H first overtone.
Another absorption band at 1920 nm related to CONH, which
referred to an amide linkage. The absorption bands at 2312 and
2455 nm corresponded to C−H stretching and deformation
vibrations, which represent starch content. Figure 4 shows the
