On the basis of these clinical features and the results of the laboratory data (positive for antinuclear antibody at a titer of 1:1,600, positive anti-double-stranded DNA antibody at a level of 27, hypergammaglobulinemia, low complement level, negative C reactive protein with a normal creatinine level, normal serum protein electrophoresis results, and normal results on thyroid and liver function tests), the diagnosis of glottic bamboo nodules from SLE was proposed.
