Normally process should be, you get the new machine from disti and issue credit to close disti case.
The new machine swap to customer to close RMA case.
The Bad unit, you should do RTV/RTR or local repair.
If you choice do local repair, you might have problem to do grade A refurbish for swap cases.
If you choice RTV/RTR, it might have one day, LMD will prepare Grade A buffers to local for swap cases. => The refurbish will be back end issue.
Or the refurbish buffers, BU or Sales can do resell to other customers.
Please check which one is better way to you now.
Currently, you do not needs fix the process for this notice.
But, I likes to highlight you is make sure swap fully package to customer when the buffer from disti.
Not swap machine only to customer when your new buffer form disti.
If you needs do local refurbish for buffers, and needs packing material.
Please highlight to planer to prepare it.
Before they can provide package and accessory parts for refurbish, please kept you original process.
