-Each stabilizer blade carries 4 or 5 pistons. If there are 5 pistons, there are 5 activating ramps
-Each ramp activates 3 pistons, one on each blade. All of the ramps move together
-Differential pressure pushes the ramps under the pistons causing the pistons to move outwards
-Piston extension and positioning is controlled by a barrel cam
-The pistons are held in place against stops by the differential pressure
