5. Remember, the goal of any incentive program is to establish a positive and productive classroom environment. As you begin your program, you may find the expectations you are setting for your student’s behavior are somewhat lower than you would like. This is acceptable as you want them to feel some success. Once they understand what is expected of them and have improve their behavior, you can raise you expectations as well as the percentage of points necessary to earn the reward. You may also be able to increase the length of time the incentive program runs.
