was an international conference that focussed on the productivity side of this re-evaluation. Since Australia is the home of the eucalypt genus, and Tasmania the most forest-rich and forest-dependent of all the Australian States, it was appropriate that EUCPROD 2002 was hosted in Hobart, Tasmania’s capital. EUCPROD was organised by the CRC for Sustainable Production Forestry and CSIRO Forestry and Forest Products. It brought together worldwide research that quantifies factors influencing eucalypt growth and productivity, to identify how this knowledge can be used in a predictive and management context to determine the quantity and quality of plantation production.
