the adsorptionofasphaltontocementparticle,electroacousticmethodwasemployedto
studythezetapotentialofcementparticlesofconcentratedpaste,andopticalmicroscopy
wasusedtoobservethedispersionofparticles.TheresultssuggestthatbothPCAandPNS
can decreasetheyieldstressandapparentviscosityofCApastes.TheeffectofSPsonthe
rheologyofCApastecanbeexplainedbytworeasons.First,PNScanadsorbonboth
asphaltandcementsurface,changethezetapotentialandthendecreasetheiryieldstress
and viscosity,whilePCAonlyadsorboncementsurface.Second,thecompetitive
adsorptionofSPsandasphaltpreventsasphaltfromadsorbingoncementsurfaceandthen
