1. We like this part because I liked the idea of Emily that she cannot let go of the past, especially the attitudes and customs of her father's generation. Emily herself is a tradition, steadfastly staying the same over the years despite many changes in her community.
2. We like this part because this part show me about Emily's house is a monument, the only remaining emblem of a dying world of Southern aristocracy. The outside of the large, square frame house is lavishly decorated spires, and scrolled balconies are the hallmarks of a decadent style of architecture that became popular in the 1870s.
