Aceh is a semi-autonomous region which located in
Indonesia. This province is the only one that can have
the implementation of the Islamic law throughout the
province since 2005. The region is also known as a
place for the halal destination for the tourist, make it
suitable for Muslim to travel in the province. Since its
establishment, Aceh is known as the only region in
Indonesia which was not totally conquered by Dutch
colonialization. The Aceh war with Dutch take 38
years is considered as the longest war in Dutch
colonialization history.
Aceh is used to have separatism movement which
called Free Aceh Movement (GAM). After the long
conflict with Indonesian government for 30 years, the
Acehnese people now enjoy the peace condition after
the peace Memorandum of Understanding in
Helsinki, Finland in 15 August 2005. The peaceful
condition now also makes Aceh as one of the perfect
condition to make investment in forestry and mining
products. The Aceh province is also famous for its
fresh robust coffee and the beautiful beaches.
