The t- test results indicate that the difference in MAT post test mean score of male and
female students in control groups were statistically significant, t(146) = 2.081, p < 0.05, with
male students having a higher score.
A further analysis of covariance was carried out to account for initial difference that may
have existed between male and female students in the control conditions. Table 5 shows
observed and adjusted post-test mean scores in the control groups by gender.
