The results of the study clearly indicated that all the growth
parameters and yield of sugarcane were significantly influenced by the application of Zn and Fe but application
of boron has no significant response to the yield traits of
sugarcane except for cane diameter. The response was
almost similar to control. All the quality parameters were
also influenced positively by the application of micronutrients.
High response was obtained with for juice sucrose
with boron application to the soil @ 10 kg/ha. Maximum
sugar yield was obtained with ferrous sulphate spray @
3 % twice and on par with 2 % spray and ZnSO4 application
to the soil @ 50 kg/ha. On the basis of study, it is
recommended that application of ZnSO4 to the soil @
50 kg/ha, foliar application of FeSO4 @ 2 % and soil
application of boron @ 10 kg/ha along with macronutrients
for better yield and quality of sugarcane production
