Thai Airways International is seeking an outside opinion to improve its service in light of fiercer competition.
Sorajak Kasemsuvan, the incumbent president, said Tuesday that it is time for the national carrier to hire a world-class consultant, who will help design new marketing strategies. He said this is the agreement reached during a brainstorming session with four former presidents including Kanok Abhiradee.
"Turkish Airlines brought in European experts while Emirates also sought help from a British expert. THAI will have to invest in this," Sorajak said.
After a loss of Bt10 billion in 2011, THAI showed the net profit of Bt6 billion last year. In the first six months of this year, it showed a net loss of Bt156 million.
