users’ intention to adopt an online system depends on their acceptance and trust of the system. Users’ acceptance of information systems has been widely studied based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) (Davis, 1989). According to the model, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use are the two major determinants of users’ intent to adopt a system. Perceived usefulness is defined as the degree to which a person believes that using a particular system would enhance his or her job performance. Perceived ease of use refers to the degree to which a person believes that using a particular system would be free of effort. Since it was first introduced and tested, TAM has been established as a robust, powerful and parsimonious model for predicting user acceptance of technology (Venkatesh and Davis, 2000).
