China has achieved great economic success in a short period of time. China has experienced around10percent GDPgrowthin thepast decade. Ithas become theglobal manufacturing center and the winner of most IT outsourcing contracts from developed Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea. A survey from the US Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission suggests that US-China trade increased nearly fivefold from 1995 to 2005, rising from $57.5 to 285.3 billion. China’s global trade increased from $280.9 billion to 1.4 trillion from 1995 to 2005. As a result, China’s importance in the global supply chain has grown tremendously.
