2.4. Evaluation of sanitizers and disinfectants
To perform sanitizer inactivation tests, 10 g of rice was
washed with sterile distilled water for 2min, treated with
the sanitizers for 5min, then rinsed with sterile distilled
water for 2min. The rice was Wnally neutralized using D/E
broth (Difco, USA) and the total aerobic bacteria and coliforms
were enumerated.
