At the simulation beginning, it is considered that the battery
bank and the electric car are charged to 70%. When the output
power values are positive, it means that the agent provides
energy to the microgrid and if the output power is negative,
the agent is receiving energy. Only battery bank and the
electric car agents can handle positive and negative values in
its output power. The batteries are discharged to a value of 0.4
of its state of charge; once is reached this value, the power
level which can provide such battery is zero. Below are
simulation results for a time horizon of one day. Power
demand, wind generation, solar generation and optimal results
are plotted from 11 am at intervals of fifteen minutes. The
Information about power demand, maximum wind power and
maximum solar power shown in fig. 3-5 is given as a result of
a forecasting process. Fig. 4 and 5 shows that optimal power
values indicated by (17), coincide with their respective
maximum value of each moment, which shows that it is
maximizing the generation of renewable energy sources. The
ranges of maximum and minimum power of each graph represent the input power ranges given in (18) at each instant
to be solved by (17).
