Description:
Cocobolo comes from Central America and is one of the representatives of "Rosewood", heavier, more dense and more durable than Brazilian rosewood. It is very heavy and hard wood, colored from orange to dark brown with distinctive dark lines, often with beautiful and deep texture.
It consists of a large amount of natural lubricant, after polishing becomes waxy luster, therefore does not require further preservation, eg. with lacquers.
Cocobolo is commonly used for various types of musical instruments, including fingerboards, front and back boards of acoustic and electric guitars and basses. It ofers very warm, even and smooth sound.
