Abstract
This article primarily focuses on how one social studies teacher education
faculty member incorporated technology into a series of social
studies education courses. The integration involved both a technologyrelated
project for students to complete and the modeling of technology
use to facilitate learning. The article describes the project and the three
forms of modeling that occurred. It then reports on the impact of this
integration. Most students reported that the instructor’s modeling of
methods and resources encouraged them to use technology in their teaching.
Evidence in students’ microteaching, discussions, coursework, and
classroom teaching support their statements.
