A colleague of mine complained this morning that she was overcharged by a street mango vendor. Firstly, she checked the price and heard that it's 20 baht per set (a sour mango + spicy dressing). She, therefore, ordered 2 sets and waited while the vendor peeled two mangoes and chopped them into strips. When it came to the payment process, he said it's 70 baht per set. She was shocked with the astronomical price and decided to take only 1 set. The vendor told her in stern voice that her order (2 sets) couldn't be cancelled because mangoes were chopped into stripes. The other customers behind my colleague were standing in the earshot of their conversation. They decided to back off so my colleague was quite certain that many of them, including her, was deceived by this vendor about the price. She was furious but didn't dare to yell him. She just paid for them and walked away, feeling resentful. If you were her, what would you do when being overcharged?
