The HACCP principles cannot function efficiently without regular
verification (Codex Alimentarius, 2009). The lack of effective
HACCP verification could decrease food safety (Powel et al., 2013;
Sperber, 1998; Trafialek & Kolanowski, 2014). Food law does not
indicate the methods and frequency of verification (Regulation
(EC), 2004), but both methods and frequency established in the
business should ensure the effective functioning of the system
(Table 6). Concerning the frequency and methods of HACCP verifi-
cation (questions 6 and 7) the most common answer indicated that
various verification methods were used with different frequency
