When we spoke to participants by telephone before the workshop, most said they wanted to engage in team building, process planning, teamwork and open discussions. They were keen to develop a shared vision for future processes and to gain a sense of the Corporation’s commitment both to the project and to future team processes. Having worked together on large teams before, many wanted clarification of their exact roles, to build their communication skills and approaches to achieve cohesiveness. They were understandably curious about the Corporation’s expectations and vision. Team members were also curious about Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) – they wanted to explore real implementation opportunities, rather than theorizing, and sought the latest thinking in other areas of expertise. With eyes on the ball, they also sought after and said they wanted to know about targets and client expectations.
