An anticipation guide is a set of statements about a unit of expository material. The material may be a text, an audio tape, a film, or an electronic multimedia presentation. Students agree or disagree with the statements presented in the material,discussing and debating the relative merits of the statements. Then they turn to the material to get more information. Student then discuss the statements again and talk about how their thinking has changed.
