After Hours Loading Dock Use
Policy: All movement of persons and items in and out of the hotel via the Loading Dock will be controlled, monitored and documented thereby preventing unlawful removal of hotel property.
Procedure: OUTSIDE NORMAL HOURS
The client/guest must, when booking the function/event, make their needs known to the Sales & Marketing team or Banquet Co-ordinator who will take down all relevant details and will co-ordinate the set up/pulldown arrangements.
1 Prior to arrival, the Client/Guest must be informed to contact the Loss Prevention Office on (Ext.8351) to confirm permission has been arranged to make space available to load/unload.
2 A list of items being brought into the Hotel is to be forwarded to Loss Prevention Department to ensure a Loss Prevention associate is present if after normal hours and to inspect those items listed as entering or leaving the Hotel.
3 All persons on arrival at the Loading Dock will make their presence known to the Loss Prevention associate on duty that will confirm the bona fides from the form information previously supplied.
4 The Loss Prevention associate will issue a Visitor's Pass (as per LSOP) and remain until the Loading Dock is secured.
5 The Loss Prevention associates will monitor the Loading Dock until departure and then secure same.
6 All instances of requests to deliver or remove items via the Loading Dock after normal hours will be recorded in the LP Log
7 Those departments responsible for the after hour deliveries will ensure that the back dock is left in a clean and tidy manner.
