Successful implementation of the PMT is
based on the simulation of an actualMFPutilizing a model material
and tools under conditions similar to the actual process. The
PMT does not require elaborate facilities and expensive equipments,
since the load required to deform a model material is
much lower than those necessary to deform the actual material
such as a simple tension/compression testing machine can be
used to form a model material, whereas a large production press
might be required to form the actual material. It is, therefore,
relatively simple and cheap technique.
