My favorite place in the whole world to be at is the barn where my horse is stabled. This is my favorite place because I like the aroma of the dirt; any other place dirt is just dirt, at the barn dirt is earth. I love the dirt at the barn because it is a kind of dirt where I can get grubby and not care. The dirt reminds me of having fun and feeling carefree. The smell of alfalfa is fresh and clean; you know it is the best when it has little purple flowers through out. The sound of a corn bin opening sends a happy chorus of whinnying from one end of the barn to the other.
The barn is the best "home to be because all the chores are fun! The residents are always in high spirits that you came to visit, and it is a great place to forget all my problems. When I am with my horse, I know that no matter what he is never going to criticize me, he will never make fun of me or gossip about me. My horse will always have a moment to listen to my troubles; he will never put me on hold or tell me to wait. I adore being near my horse for the reason that I just love being around horses.
I love the barn because it is a place where my mom and I can spend time together. Furthermore, my mom and I enjoy the same hobby; it is something special that bonds us together. My mom and I began riding at the same time when I was seven, and we both fell in love with the sport, it is something we always do together. When my mother and I are out on the trail we can converse with each other and tell each other everything. There my mother and I can enjoy quality time together, without cell phones, pagers, or other people. I love being at the barn because I can see my horse, tromp in the dirt, and spend time with my mom.
