1. INTRODUCTION
Information is an increasingly critical resource in our modern lives. The quality of outcomes of individual
and institutional processes is often determined by the quality of the information that is used. Because of
this link between information quality (IQ) and outcomes of decision making and actions, a theory and
tools are needed that would allow effective and efficient management of IQ. A number of frameworks
and models have been proposed for measuring IQ (e.g., [18]). To manage IQ, however, one also needs to
know how IQ changes, what causes it to change, and how and when to intervene effectively. In this paper
we develop a general model of IQ change based on an analysis of IQ process data in Wikipedia. Some
statistics on the IQ dynamics of Wikipedia articles are also presented.
