The Doek Court is a refined interpretation of a traditional tennis shoe, crafted almost entirely by hand in a 140-year-old factory. The uppers are cut from a kasuri canvas fabric woven in Kurume, Japan. The shoes have natural cork footbeds which aid ventilation and mould themselves to the wearer's foot to become exceptionally comfortable. The rubber soles are vulcanised the traditional way, by baking the shoes in small batches in a kiln. Doek shoes fit about half a size large, making a US 9 roughly equivalent to a UK 8.5.
