A terrible Trip
My brother, Roberto, and I took a trip to Miami last summer. I will never forget it. We have some cousins in Miami and they wanted us to visit them. We thought about the beautiful beaches, so we decided to go. We also wanted to see our cousins, Angelo and Gina.
We had reservations on an early flight to Miami, so we got up before the sun rose. Roberto and I were all excited about the trip. Our father got up early to drive us to the airport, we had a flat tire! This made us miss our flight and it made our father late for work. As Roberto and I were waiting around the airport for another flight, we tried to call our cousins. Unfortunately, they weren't at home. They were on their way to the Miami Airport to pick us up! We finally boarded a flight and arrived in Miami four hours late. Of course, our cousins were not at the airport to meet us. We called their house and asked them to come back to the airport. They were very understanding. We waited outside for them , and after a half hour, they drove up. When we saw them, we were so relieved! We apologized for all the trouble and inconvenience.
We stayed for a week and had a terrible time. It wasn't our cousins' fault, but nothing went right. It rained everyday and we didn't go to the beach even one time. On the second day, while we were playing tennis, Gina fell and hurt her leg. For the rest of the week, she couldn't walk. Then, Angelo had a car accident while he was driving us around the city. We weren't hurt, but the car was in the repair shop for the rest of the week.
When it was time to leave, we were both sad and happy. We wanted to return home, but we hated to leave Angelo and Gina. We said goodbye and begged them to visit us in New Orleans. We wanted to try again for a smooth visit. We had to take a taxi to the airport because their car was still in the shop. You will never guess what happened next! Yes, while were going to the airport, the taxi broke down. Fortunately, someone stopped to help and drove us to the airport. We arrived just in time to catch our plane. When we landed in New Orleans, our parents were at the airport to meet us. They couldn't believe our story!
