Discussion
The success of implementation of CPGs depends
very much on the methods used to elaborate them
(Grimshaw & Russell 1993). The composition and
organization of working groups is always a weak
point in the process of guidelines development. Some
authors have compared guidelines on the same subject
produced by different groups (Fraser et al. 1994,
Vader et al. 1997, Coulters et al. 1995). In these studies,
the composition of the group clearly influenced
the ratings of appropriateness. Interpretation of
evidence is always difficult, from the early stages of
reports on clinical trials to the translation of evidence
into clinical guidehnes (Woolf 1992). For instance.
