Dear Compensation Planning Manager,
The 2015 Year-End Compensation process kicks off today. You have been designated as a Compensation Planning Manager (“Comp Planner”) and will be making STI award decisions for your direct reports and others for whom you have Comp Planner responsibilities.
To learn more about the enhancements to this year’s compensation planning process, the timeline, as well as the functionality in the compensation recommendation worksheet, you may access manager resources and/or view a recorded webcast on the Your Compensation Matters website (click on the Year End Compensation tab).
Important Notes
• Attached is your Compensation Recommendation Workbook with full employee details. The spreadsheet is password-protected with comp@MMDD (MMDD are the month and day of your birth date).
• You may need to “Enable Macros” when you first open the Excel file. See Manager Spreadsheet Guide, under Manager Resources on the Year End Compensation tab on the Your Compensation Matters site, for instructions.
• After you complete the worksheet, please submit your recommendations to AIG Compensation by February 10 at 5pm Eastern Time via the “Export to Comp” button in the Worksheet.
• You will have 2 planning sheets if you have employees in both the new Performance Management process and the Legacy RPR program.
2015 STI Payout Decisions
Please make STI recommendations based on each employee’s performance and contribution. Under the new Performance Management Process, managers are empowered to make STI payout decisions that generally range from 0% to 150% of target. For employees under the RPR process, you should use the full scale within the recommended guidelines. Where appropriate, consider recommendations below or above guidelines. In either process, it is critical that you manage your recommendations within your STI pool allocation (shown in USD at the top of the Worksheet).
Finally, below is the contact information for your assigned Compensation Partner should you have any questions throughout the process:
