No significant difference in carotenoid content was found between
MeJA, ETH, 1-MCP treatments and their corresponding controls, except
an appreciable reduction at 6 d by MeJA treatment (Fig. 2). The
effect of SA treatments on carotenoid contents varied among SA
application methods. The content of carotenoids displayed an almost
60% increase at 1 d after Control/SA application, whereas an over 50%
decrease was observed at 6 d after SA/SA treatment. However, SA/
Control treatment exhibited no notable effect on carotenoids content
compared with the control (Fig. 2).
