“Fine” – calvados must be aged at least 2 years.
“Vieux” or “Reserve” – Calvados must be aged at least 3 years.
“V.O.” or “VSOP” or “Vieille Reserve” – Calvados must be aged at least 4 years
“Extra”, “X.O.”, or “Napoléon” – Calvados must be aged at least 6 years. Normally this special type of calvados is aged longer than 6 years.
