THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND
Introduction
The Internet has expanded continuously in various ways. It is handy to use on the side of education and business, but it is also useful in the field of entertainment among Internet users and one form of entertainment which is very popular is the online games. Though online games have advantages like knowing how to use the machine requires skills and such enhances critical thinking. However, despite of it, being addicted to online games appears to be a negative behavior rather than positive.
This study will explore the perceptions of NUIC freshmen students on online gaming and what are the common factors that they usually neglect because of online games.
Statement of the Problem
This research sought to answer the following:
1. What are the common perceptions of NUIC freshmen on online gaming?
2. What are the common factors that NUIC freshmen neglect because of online games?
Importance of the Study
This study is important because it will determine the factors why NUIC freshmen like to play online games and it will identify the common factors that they usually neclect.
Scope and Delimitation of the Study
This study will explore the perceptions of NUIC freshmen towards online gaming. The respondents of this study will only be limited to eighty NUIC freshmen. The results of this study will only come from the gathered data of the researchers.
