two groups: one in which unloaded-leg cycling exercise was performed as a countermeasure against unloading (Tr-UL: n6); and the other, which did not perform any countermeasure during unilateral lower unloading (UL: n5). The left or right lower limb of each subject was unloaded (ULLS-leg, a) by wearing a high-platform
shoe on the contralateral limb (control leg; CONT-leg, b) as done in previous studies (Adams et al., 2003).
