If you're sixteen or seventeen and live in a wealthy European country, you probably haven't started full time living yet. Perhaps you work at weekends or in the holidays to earn some extra money, or to get experience which will improve your career opportunities in the future. If you do, you are probably reasonably well wealthy; and you can give up the job if you feel it doesn't leave you time to study for exams. But in poor countries, child Labour is part of everyday reality. Many parents cannot afford to educate their children as young as seven or eight work to earn their treated. There are about 160 million child workers worldwide, often working long hours and always for very low wages. The working conditions for them can be extremely unhealthy.
