is serving her first term as an Albany County Legislator, representing the 39th Legislative District which includes parts of the Towns of Knox and Berne, along with the Towns of Rensselaerville and Westerlo in their entirety.
Debbie is employed by Albany Medical Center where she has held the position of Registered Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, Neurological Intensive Care Unit and currently the Nurse Manager in charge of the E-3 Medical-Surgical Unit.
Debbie earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from Sage Graduate School where she also earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
Debbie is highly decorated in her academic field, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Sage College. She has been awarded the Hanna Karp Award in 2007, Martha Karp Palmer Award in 2006, she received Departmental Honors in Nursing and has been inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honors Society.
She is a current member of the New York State Farm Bureau and continues to work on her family’s farm, Busch Farm.
She is a lifelong resident of the Hilltowns where she continues to reside with her two grown sons Klaus and Garrett.
