In this study, twenty eight mothers (24.6%) were able to
have skin contact with their newborns after birth while 86
mothers (75.4%) didn’t have skin contact. Twenty six
mothers (22.8%) required analgesics to relief pain after
surgery while 88 (77.2%) did not received analgesics
(Acetaminophen. Mefenamic Acid). Sixty four mothers
(56.1%) were trained for breastfeeding after delivery while
50 mothers (43.9%) had no training. Ninety four mothers
(82.5%) were benefited of breastfeeding educations provided
by hospital staff while 20 (17.5%) did not received this educations. One hundred four mothers (91.2%) had
somebody of their relatives as assistant during hospital stay,
while 10 (8.8%) didn’t have anybody. Rooming-in policy
was implemented for 48 mothers (42.1%) while it was not
executed for 66 mothers (57.9%). After discharge, twenty
mothers (17.5%) had problems with breastfeeding in the first
week (Fissure, Engorgment, Mastitis, Abcess), while 94
(82.5%) did not experience any problem, 50.9% of them
sought help from their relatives in order to fix the problem
and only 19.3% referred to the medical team (as seen in table
5).
