In this present study, heat-moisture treatment was also conducted using other heating methodssuch as microwave and autoclave heating to overcome the issue of conventional heat-moisturetreatment. Microwaves are non-ionizing electronic radiation capable to induce changes in materialproperties because of the presence of rapid alternations of the electronic field at higher frequencylevels. Microwave is more efficient than the conventional heating process because it needs shorterheating time and produces a more homogeneous heat transfer in the whole volume of material. [12]Whereas autoclave heating which was commonly used in commercial processes uses pressurizedsaturated steam to generate not only heat but also pressure in heating treatment.
