Future research should also seek to identify other instances of
mutually compensatory predictors of university GPA. By incorporating
the interaction terms associated with such predictors into
their regression models, educators and policy makers should be
able to: (a) improve the overall predictive utility of such models;
(b) help students with a single compensatory predictor to capitalize
on their strength while addressing their weakness with respect
to the other predictor; and (c) develop a more nuanced understanding
of the different paths that students can follow to obtain
academic success.
