Miyagi Prefecture is known as the motherland of Sasanishiki and Hitomebore rice as well as having the best fishing grounds in all of mainland Japan. It is blessed with rich food from the sea, mountains and land, including Miyagi’s rice crops, fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, and meat.
In addition to great taste and quality, each food has its own story based on producers' excellent techniques and meticulousness, the local climate, history and image.
