Compared to water heating, preheating of ventilation air requires waste heat of lower quality. When
preheating ventilation air with an air-cooled fluid cooler for heat reclaim, an entering water
temperature of 60°F and a leaving water temperature of 45°F are typical (Royal 2010). Thus, the lower
quality waste heat from full condensing may be used to preheat ventilation air. Typically, full
condensing heat recovery applications are designed for use with water-cooled refrigeration systems.
