Technical knowledge management resource includes a
number of information and communication technologies
(ICT) used by the firm to support and enhance the creation,
storage and retrieval, transfer, application, sharing, and protection
of organizational knowledge. Construction firms use
several information and communication technologies to support
their knowledge management processes. The most commonly
used information and communication technologies in
construction firms include (e.g., Carrillo 2004; Fong and
Kwok 2009): intranets, content management systems, document
management systems relational and object databases,
groupware and workflow systems, data warehousing systems,
and data mining systems.
