The results of the analysis on polyploidy of cross parents for interspecific hybridization using flow cytometry (Table 3) showedthat the relative DNA content of diploid species of ‘Whiteberry’,‘UC-01’, and ‘Hawaii-30’ were similar to each other, remaining inthe range of 0.53–0.59, but the DNA content of the octoploid species‘Akihime’ was 1.76, which was significantly higher than the diploidspecies.
