1. Combined Services Drawing (CSD)
CSD will be provided for space coordination purpose by main contractor based on design drawings. To superimpose all services based on design drawing information is the first step of making CSD. It is advisable to have preliminary meeting with contractor since sometime they want to change the size, location, height of their installation from design drawings.
CSD shall show all services in scale for above ceiling level and underground installation. CSD shows the name of each services, size and height. Height normally shows bottom of duct without insulation, bottom of pipe without insulation and measured from standard reference finishing floor level.
It must be issued to contractors with the following statement;
1. Contractor shall check the CSD and inform main contractor if there is any difference from their required installation.
2. Contractor shall check the CSD and inform main contractor if there is any requirement for other services position.
3. Contractor shall check and confirm the proper maintenance access is not obstructed by other services installation.
4. All dimension and setting out from the grids shall be measured from drawing with considering installation tolerance. Should exact dimension is required due to tight space contractor shall highlight the requirement to main contractor.
